Deb Hewitt has been a licensed clinical social worker licensed since 2002. She feels lucky to love what she does and has a passion to work together with people who want to improve their mental health. She has a conversational approach to therapy and has years of experience in a variety of evidence-based models, and approach individual as unique.
She has over twenty years of experience as a LCSW, and has been licensed in Alaska, Colorado, and currently active in her home state of Indiana. She has training in most types of therapy, including CBT, DBT, MI, and prefers a psychotherapy approach. She offers feedback, encouragement, emotional support, validation, and acknowledges strengths and progress. She has recently trained in EMDR for PTSD and will offer this approach in the future.
Deb’s experience includes working in many settings, such as State Hospitals, office practice, group homes, residential and community based. She works with couples, families, and individuals, adults and children and has special training in suicide prevention and critical incident stress debriefings. Most of all, she loves helping people, and appreciates the opportunity to walk beside you, learn about you, and find answers together to reach your goals.
